Dumplings: Made in New York

Kenny Lao, cofounder of Rickshaw Dumpling Bar joins Jayne Cohen (Jewish Holiday Cooking), and Tom Birchard (The Veselka Cookbook: Recipes and Stories from the Landmark Restaurant in New York's East Village) to discuss the sizzling history of pot stickers in New York, beginning with their origins in the kitchens of Polish, Chinese and Italian immigrants. After the panel, which is moderated by Wai Hon Chu, author of The Dumpling: A Seasonal Guide, stop by the Rickshaw Truck and order a plate of chicken-and-basil dumplings with spicy peanut dip on the side.
