Listening Room 4 may appear the simplest of the spaces in Sonos’s 101G store, but look a little closer. Here is a room that celebrates light and color from corner to corner. The entire space embodies the Sonos color gradient, moving from soft purple bars of light at the ceiling (the color changes) to washes of pink under the kitchen shelves, through to the magenta of the custom-made soundwave rug. It’s slightly space-age, slightly disco and very ready to inspire.
Suggested listening: “I Feel Love,” Donna Summer. You may find yourself dancing like nobody’s watching when you play this sensational Donna Summer-Giorgio Moroder number (ignore that the front of the room is glass for a minute and let go). Summer’s almost otherworldly high-pitched build is one of disco’s finest moment—turn those Sonos speakers up to max for the full effect.
