You’ll be searching for a reason to send someone one of the large square screen-printed cards ($4–$5 each) that illustrator and owner Jane Buck makes right in the store: Each features charming animal graphics, like a tortoise carrying a cupcake on its shell, with kitschy sayings (cheer up, buttercup). For those occasions when an old-fashioned note alone won’t cut it, there are baby bibs ($16) and little pouches ($6) adorned with the store’s signature menagerie of birds, elephants, rabbits and more.

This is one of my favorite chops in Red Hook! GREAT for beautiful gifts for adults, children, home and pets!
Everything chosen to be in shop is gorgeous!

This is a super cute shop on Van Brunt, the small town–esque main street of Red Hook. If you need to get a thoughtful card for someone or a housewarming or hostess gift, definitely go here. I bought a bunch of notecards (which are printed on 100 percent cotton tree-free rag and made and designed by the shop's owner), including the thank you cards and the "A Love Historic" card, which I adored and want to buy again. There are a ton of fun textiles here in the form of scarves, aprons and napkins, and a bunch of well-made kids' toys and clothes. Besides her own designs and products, Jane Buck (the owner) also sells beautiful handmade soaps and candles from other small companies. The prices are a little expensive, but everything here is quality.
