This Seattle T-shirt brand’s first NYC store, inside Nordstrom-owned boutique Treasure&Bond, features North Carolina–made unisex T-shirts ($39 each). Ex-advertising exec Gabe Johnson curated the collection, with each shirt featuring the logo of a small business from around the country (such as Brooklyn store Bespoke Bicycles or Horses Cut Shop itself) and a tag explaining the story of the company. Know that you’re shopping local: a portion of the proceeds goes to the store whose logo you’re wearing. The 500-square-foot shop resembles an eclectic motel, with buyable decor items like a queen-size bed made from a 1965 Ford pickup ($16,500), a buffalo-head chandelier ($14,500) and a coffee table complete with prints of chaotic motel scenes ($8,000). Grab add-ons such as Horses Cut Shop trucker caps ($28) and beanies ($28).
