The brainchild of Londoner Wayne Fortune and Denmark native Martin Fagerlund, this domestically produced streetwear brand got its start in 2010. After hosting a series of NYC pop-up shops in 2011, the duo partnered with friend and designer Andrea Jenkins to create a full line of elegant yet urban men’s and women’s clothing ($35–$600). The collection is housed in a clean white space designed to look like an art gallery, featuring an exposed brick wall and repurposed Brooklyn objects, including a mounted mesh fence from the Barclays Center construction site and shelving made out of tires. Men’s toggle cardigans ($210), denim-and-flannel button-up shirts ($200) and Brooklyn Bloke classic logo tees ($40–$42) hang from metal garment racks and hooks scattered throughout the store. Ladies can pick up denim varsity-inspired jackets with faux-snakeskin sleeves ($350) and Brooklyn Bloke sweatshirts featuring crocheted backs ($65).
