This boutique’s fanatical obsession with textiles dictates the brand’s approach to production and design. Working with hand-weavers throughout India, the company develops custom fabrics and creates new design concepts by combining elements of modernism with traditional methods of beading, embroidery and printing. Items such as knit necklaces ($198), handwoven striped angora-wool blankets ($198) and Ulkrike quilts ($450), which are the product of a collaboration with artist Ulrike Muller, should keep you cozy through the end of winter. The atypical boutique also has a communal design space to feature projects and collaborations with other designers and downtown avant-garde artists.
