DIY aficionados and fans of eclectic jewelry will fall for this accessories boutique and workshop, operated by Tam Tran, Yuval Alexander and Christine McKee. Tran, who worked as an apparel designer for Tommy Hilfiger before taking up jewelry design in 2004, sold her own creations in small boutiques prior to opening this interactive shop. The store has an earthy vibe with vintage and wooden embellishments, a chalkboard wall and a table in the center displaying colorful raw materials. You’ll find strands of chunky amethyst gemstones ($31), turquoise beads ($12) and individual recycled African glass beads ($1 each) for the choosing, along with used jewelry-making books ($15–$20) to browse through for inspiration. Make an online reservation to join one of the store’s small classes (Tue, Thu 6–8pm; Sat 11am–1pm) for workshops on crafting cocktail rings ($165), making leather wrap bracelets ($185) and creating personalized pendants ($165); or browse the variety of ready-made selections from local designers like Karina Clark and Cyrille Despointes. Standouts include a one-of-a-kind Amy Pivar silver cuff ($850) embossed with a yoga mantra, Yuval Alexander resin rings ($250), Tracy Levine’s vintage Tibetan pendants on leather cords ($220) and unisex bracelets ($135) fashioned out of leather and African beads from Tran’s own line, Aurum Vitae.
