Time Out says

Leave it to a pair of Canadians to create chic yet warm coats. Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy of Montreal company Mackage (named for Elfassy’s niece’s mispronunciation of the French word for makeup) have been designing outerwear together since they were 12 years old, and launched their sleek ready-to-wear women’s collection at Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week. They have sold their line in department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s for the past eight years and dressed celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg; now they’ve finally opened Mackage’s first brick-and-mortar U.S. location. Shoppers will find the full women’s collection, as well as the brand’s specialty outerwear for both sexes. We won’t judge if you shell out $650 for an ultra-luxe ladies’ coat with knit-and-leather trim, or $790 on a men’s fitted leather jacket. But perhaps a pair of gals’ studded leather driving gloves ($126) is more your speed.
