Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz open the third Manhattan location of their modern apothecary, showcasing their natural, locally manufactured line of unisex skin ($10–$82) and hair ($8–$68) products. Although the decor retains the same minimalist vibe of the Chelsea and Upper West Side stores, design firm Messana O’Rorke (messanaororke.com) captured Carnegie Hill’s understated sophistication with chevron-patterned wood floors and a Carrera-marble backdrop. Aluminum towers hold the full collection, including glycolic-acid peel pads (50 for $48), aluminum-free eucalyptus deodorant ($18) and sage styling cream ($20). An alcove in the back wall displays candles ($14–$52) and fragrances ($48) in unusual scents, such as synthesized geranium leaf, cannabis and dark rum.
