Unfortunately I have to put this out because I don't want this to happen to another customer. My daughter purchase jewerly yesterday from the downtown store. The earrings are cute. Boston public schools are close because of the school bus stike and they had the day off today. My daughter and friend went to the Newbury street location to purchase more jewelry as a surprise for me, because I like the earrings so much. Upon entering the store my daughter and friend were told to "get out" We they asked why, the owner said " I dont want you in here". He proceeded to call Boston police and my daughter and friend called the police as well. When the police arrived, the owner starting making up lies that they where in the store before stealing. The Boston police officer ask the owner "Keho" to show him the surviellance tapes. Of course"Keho" states the camera does not pick up footage, and started to yell that " I just don't want them in here"!!! The police office told them, just do not come back to the store and give him your money..Keho yelled " I don't care I don't want their money!!!!!!! Two innocent 11th graders shopping on Newbury Street, but because they are young women of color this happpen!!!!! I like to thank the Boston Police officer who was able to distighush the racist owner and did not arrest two young women for no reason. I would not want this to happen to any other young girl of color on Newbury Street in this store.
