A chap can no longer complain that he lacks places to shop on the Lower East Side. Menswear boutique Spec specializes in avant-garde duds from Asia. Hong Kong-born Andrew Wong, a fashion designer, and Elton Chung, a businessman, fill the rugged shop with neopreppy threads by indie designers from Japan (the duo stock many of the same brands at Tectonic, their Hong Kong boutique). Superhip cold-weather garb, including PPFM distressed crewneck sweatshirts, Catherine Museum argyle cardigans and Takey Kikuchi faux-fur trimmed nylon parkas abound.
