Supra (CLOSED)

Gone are the days when sneakers were meant only for the gym, as evidenced by Supra’s first U.S. store, a downtown boutique that houses the brand’s stylish Classics, Estate and Royal collections for men ($49–$188). Amid the kicks, find the label’s new midcut suede-and-rubber shoes ($100–$120) perched atop a display carved to look like an old-school boom box, an aesthetic that complements the ’90s hip-hop playing over the sound system. Pound the pavement (or take a cab, as the case may be) while wearing high-tops inspired by colors found in the city’s streets. We dig limited-edition gray-and-black pairs with yellow-checkered sock liners and skyscraper hangtags ($130). Keep your feet classy by opting for slip-on shoes adorned with rope laces and comfy rubber soles ($60).

Stay away ..... the absolute worst customer service experience I received during my entire time in New York. If you are from the US or Canada, do yourselves a favor and shop at the online Supra store ... free ground shipping for orders over a certain amount (usually covered by a pair of shoes). Absolute horrendous sales service from Alyssa and whoever the dude with the large gangster cross hanging on his neck claiming to be the manager. We were ready to buy about 4-5 pair of shoes for my children and ourselves. No stock on most of the popular sizes and Alyssa looked like se didn't want to be there that day, displaying rude attitude and behaviour. Listen, when you walk into a shoe store and want to confirm your son's size, the salesperson takes the thing they use to measure foot size and helps you... the salesperson does not toss the thing to you to fend for yourself, especially SNCE WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN THE STORE... she was too busy chatting with her friend. Turns out they received a bunch of new shoes that day ... they hadn't opened the boxes but we were assured that one or two of the shoes we were interested in was in that shipment ... I left my number and was promised a call back later that evening .. it never came. We were in NY for another 4 days and that call never came. Like I said... order what you like from Supra's online store and skip this shop altogether. First off, they don't stock all of Supra's stuff, have poor sizing availability and are the rudest salespeople in New York .... do yourself the favor and spend your time elsewhere and order online like we did the moment we got home. My only mistake during my week long stay in New York was actually taking time out of my day to go to this store full of disinterested sales staff and management. They don't want my money? Fine!! There are plenty of places that do. We were able to find one pair of the shoes on SoHo anyways ... so my son was pleased ... as for my other son, a quick click and he got his two pair and my wife and I got ours.
