Teich (pronounced “tyshe”) is Allison McGowan’s locally produced line of eco-friendly handbags and also the name of her debut East Village boutique. McGowan stocks the quaint shop with her collection of functional carryalls (made from hemp, organic cotton and vintage fabrics) along with a bevy of other local environmentally conscious brands, such as Dirty Librarian Chains, Marissa Alperin, Ryann and Bario-Neal.
