Tequila has been one of the breakout spirits of the past few years, inspiring cocktail haunts such as Mayahuel and Zengo. Fans of the agave-based tipple can expand their appreciation at this hands-on workshop, led by Elayne Duke of Diageo. After a grapefruit-based La Paloma welcome cocktail, she’ll cover the history and evolution of tequila styles and lead a tasting of four varieties, including Excellia reposado and Gran Centenario anejo. Then you'll get a chance to make three quaffs of your own, including a Smoke and Ginger featuring tequila blanco, mescal, lime juice and honey-ginger syrup.
