The former West Village home of designer Tommy Hilfiger’s eponymous, sophisticated label has received a serious reboot, now that it’s devoted to his younger-skewing Tommy label. Upon entering the store, it’s hard not to immediately notice a huge stuffed buffalo head looming intimidatingly over the cash register. He and various other woodland creatures, including Tommy-clad raccoons and grizzly bears, oversee shoppers browsing the racks of cozy flannels ($59), sweater vests ($49), Richie Cunningham–esque wool cardigans ($79) and jeans ($69–$129) for guys and gals alike. Dudes can collapse into inviting armchairs or retreat to the Zen-tastic ivy-lined garden in the back while their girlfriends try on sequined and polka-dot dresses ($159). Cap off your Nantucket-chic outfit with snug winter hats ($39), prim ballet flats ($69), or one of what seems like 500 varieties of pearls the store offers, from classic to colorful to downright gaudy ($24–$64).
