Owners Jon Jon Lane and Shannon Moran mark their spot in Gowanus with this tattoo parlor and store, offering intricate inking (minimum $80/piece, $175/hour for larger pieces). Among the four artists on staff, we recommend visiting Takashi Matsuba, the only NYC pro to freehand tebori, a traditional Japanese technique. The decor has haunting, old-timey details, such as exposed-brick walls, brass chandeliers, antique medical chairs and a horsehair Victorian couch. Eclectic goods for sale include a mummified pig ($300), glass-dome–enclosed skulls ($280), framed butterflies ($40), silver skull rings ($150), Sweet Gwendoline T-shirts ($30) and human-molar-set rings ($150).
