The splashy new 19,000-seat Barclays Center opened in September 2012 and brought with it the Brooklyn Nets, the borough's first major pro sports team since the Dodgers left in 1957. Besides the NBA, the venue hosts concerts by superstars such as Rihanna and (part owner) Jay-Z, sports tourneys including the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship and family-friendly events like the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus.

A plethora of great events that are hosted at this terrific venue. It's clean, easy to get to, has great concession options, and sight lines are good for the events. I've experienced a few sporting events and concerts here and I always walk away impressed.
What can I say about Barclays Center that hasn't already been said? This place is amazing! I've been to shows, concerts, hockey games, basketball games, you name it! The greatest staff in sports entertainment and by far the best arena food I've tasted. When an event comes across my radar I always check to see if it's here first! No other arena like it.
Barclay's Center is a brand new area within NYC that houses not one but two professional sports team. Both the Brooklyn Nets and the NY Islanders now call this stadium home. I have only seen hockey games here thus far, so I can not comment on how concerts and basketball events are. For hockey, its a solution for the NY Islanders who were in search of a New York home. The sound and sights of the stadium are impressive. The food selection has many options outside of the basic stadium fare. The seating is decent, although there is that issue on the far end of the stadium where you are unable to see the goaltender. Luxury boxes are nice and the seating in the center is good, but quite steep towards the top. The black seats and the black cup holders make it challenging to walk the rows, as you can not see the holders. Getting to the arena is best via subway or LIRR. Traffic post game seems insane, so either wait a bit or take the trains.
I think I've done it all at Barclays. Concerts, basketball, hockey, beer event, etc. Every time I visit, I have a great time! Even though I live on the Upper East Side, it's easy to get to and from the venue with just about every train line stopping at the Atlantic stop. The venue has amazing food and beer selections. Also, not to knock on it's older, more popular neighbor, MSG, attending an event here is much more affordable. I look forward to making many more amazing memories at Barclays over the years!
