I had a great day out at Chelsea Piers with a group of friends recently. We decided to grab our clubs and hit the driving range. Admittedly, we went at the most peak time there is - Saturday afternoon. It was a 45 minute wait for two stalls at the range, so we headed over to the bar inside Bowlmor lanes for a beer to pass the time. It didn't take nearly as long for our number to be called as we expected and we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to accommodate us with two neighboring stalls. The range itself is pretty, with a great view of the Hudson River. After going through our allotment of balls at the range, we decided to head back to Bowlmor to bowl a few games. After a very short wait, we had a small section all to ourselves. Great day out. The only caveat for spending the full day (or even a few hours) at Chelsea Piers, is that it can get to be quite pricey. But it's a prime place to go for both kids and adults and really has anything you could ask for - golf, bowling, ice rink, indoor courts, etc.
