The winning feature of this studio is its size: small groups fit inside a sparse but cozy street-level studio. Even when you're the only newbie, the atmosphere is familiar. Instructor and Kusala director Melissa McKay's soothing words (“Let the breath massage your insides”) make for an incredibly relaxing experience, even when the poses have you wrapped around yourself like a twist tie.
