The Abstract Impressionist painter Franz Kline's desire to move beyond his signature (and lucrative) black-and-white style brings him into conflict with the powerful gallerist Sidney Janis in this colorful new play, set in the New York art scene of the late 1950s. The playwright is the Klines real-life nephew, Carl Kline (who met his uncle only once, a child). Joe John Battista directs a cast of eight.
