The play is adapted from a prizewinning 1982 novel by the Israeli literary wizard Amos Oz, as translated by Hillel Halkin; Hersh Ellis and Susan Kohn Green direct a cast that also includes Ephie Aardema, Talia Sulla, Iris Bahr, Donald Corren and Max Wolkowitz.
