A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

If you like your corn mixed in with mothballs, Peccadillo Theater Company’s meticulous revival of this hokey 1951 musical might please your palate. Arthur Schwartz and Dorothy Fields’s songs are lovely, but the book lacks focus. Klea Blackhurst steals the show in the wisecracking role originated by Shirley Booth.—Raven Snook
