Alcestis Ascending

Writer-director Seth Panitch presents his adaptation of Euripides' classic tragedy about a wife willing to sacrifice herself in her husband's stead. The cast blends actors from the Cuban National Office of Scenic Arts and the University of Alabama; performances are in both Spanish and English, and include live rock music. (The production travels to Havana after it closes in New York.)
