In Julia Brownell’s slight, unnecessary family drama, it’s like every dramaturgical impulse after “a girl plays high-school football” took a nap. There might be more here if director Evan Cabnet had thought seriously about what a female quarterback would be like instead of casting the blank-eyed, lissome Meredith Forlenza.—Helen Shaw
