Flushing Town Hall is launching a Black History Trilogya series of performances by Broadway stars to bring Black history icons back to life. Starting on Friday, February 5, Alton Fitzgerald White (Musafa of The Lion King) performs "John Lewis: A Pioneer for Justice." Then on February 18, Lillias White will perform her "Divine Sass: A Tribute to the Music, Life, and Legacy of Sarah Vaughan"André De Shields, the star of Hadestown, will do "André De Shields is Frederick Douglass: Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory" on February 26. Each show is at 7pm. It's free but audiences may donate to support Flushing Town Hall while it remains physically closed during the pandemic.
