Time Out says

MasterVoices gathers a complete orchestra and more than 120 singers to present a version of Georges Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen—which offers practical pointers on how to use your feminine wiles to seduce hot soldiers and bullfighters—with a full English-language libretto by Fiddler on the Roof's Sheldon Harnick, Broadway's greatest living lyricist. Harnick wrote it in 1981, but this will be its New York City premiere. Directed by Sammi Cannold, the production aims to restore the piece to the musical-theater roots of its original production at the Opéra-Comique in Paris, with dialogue in lieu of recitative. The MasterVoices Chorus and the Orchestra of St Luke's are conducted by company maestro Ted Sperling; Ginger Costa-Jackson, Terrence Chin-Loy, Mikaela Bennett and John Brancy are the lead performers.
