Dance of Death, Parts One and Two

The first part of August Strindberg's vicious 1900 portrait of a mutually abusive marriage is revived reasonably often, but the second half—a sequel to the action of the first, written later the same year—is a genuine rarity. This August Strindberg Rep production at TNC bills itself as the first time the two parts have been performed onstage together in English. Director Robert Greer also provides the new translation.
