Dreams of Flying Dreams of Falling

Adam Rapp—usually chronicler of the poor or bohemian—bursts through the class barrier with a mannered fable about the porous border between savagery and civilization. There's some goofy fun to be had in Rapp's semiabsurdist doodlings (suicidal geese, a lioness in the basement), but his WASP living-room doodling is far too derivative of Albee.—David Cote
