Folktales of Asia and Africa

In this one-woman show created and performed by Jane Catherine Shaw, kitchen tools—a flour sifter, a cookie cutter, steak knives, salt and pepper shakers—become characters in original tales. As the hostess and her audience wait for bread to rise in the oven, little ones hear traditional stories from Burma, Japan and Africa. Ages 3 to 10.
