Ghetto Klown

The electric John Leguizamo works the stage like a boxer in his latest one-man show, dodging and jabbing and letting down his guard just long enough to set up a punch line here and there. Directed by Fisher Stevens, Leguizamo shifts in and out of different personae with an exhilarant mix of headlong risk and bodily precision. If his stories are sometimes too blatantly falsified, it’s still great to watch him up on a Broadway stage, where he belongs.—Adam Feldman
