Gramercy Theatre

The Gramercy looks exactly like what it is, a run-down former movie theater, yet it has a decent sound system and good sight lines. Concertgoers can lounge in raised seats on the top level or get closer to the stage. Family-friendly shows are rare but do occur occasionally.

Gramercy Theater is an ideal venue for an intimate show.  Built on a former movie theater, you have a choice to stand a sit.  Come early, if you want a seat because they go quick and are towards the back of the place.  They are bolted down seats from the original movie theater.  The floor size is decent and as you get towards the stage, it slopes forward so that the tall guy in front of you is not as much of a nuisance as usual.  The downstairs lounge and bar is quite big and a great place to hang out between bands or if you need to add a concert T shirt to your collection.  Excellent venue to see mid-sized bands and still get close enough to see them sweat, if that's your thing.
