Hart Island

The multimedia-theater troupe Mason Holdings digs up the history of the enormous mass cemetery on the Bronx's Hart Island, where more than a million poor or unclaimed bodies lie buried in unmarked graves. Tracy Weller's play connects the stories of six people with connections to the site; Kristjan Thor directs the production, and designers Christopher and Justin Swader set the scene.
