Stefanie Zadravec perceptively explores the crushing consequences of a war in this unconventional kitchen-sink drama, set in a pair of cramped Bosnian kitchens in 1992. The styles of the two halves of Erica Schmidt's production seem at war themselves; with the first act pitched at a very high volume and the second more understated; the full force of Zadravec’s skill emerges in its more subtler moments.—Diane Snyder
