In the Amoralists' uneven, nudity-heavy program at the atmospheric Gershwin hotel—Derek Ahonen’s couples-therapy melodrama Pink Knees on Pale Skin and Adam Rapp’s eerie Animals and Plants—proximity amplifies everything, and not always happily. Ahonen’s piece suffers from the close-up, but Rapp’s work thrives in its cheek-by-jowl staging.—Helen Shaw
