Imagining the Imaginary Invalid

The late Ruth Maleczech, cofounder of the venerable Mabou Mines troupe, was actually mortally ill when she and her daughter Clove Galilee conceived this metatheatrical spin on Molière's The Imaginary Invalid. Now Galilee keeps the fire burning as director and choreographer of a production that stars the marvelous Marylouise Burke (Ripcord) in what was to have been the Maleczech role.
