Jabari Dreams of Freedom

A young boy in 1960s Chicago draws inspiration from heroes of the Civil Rights movement—and meets a very young Barack Obama—in Nambi E. Kelley's inspirational play for young auciences (7 and up), which features original music by Joe Plummer. Directed by Daniel Carlton, the show employs rap, music, hip-hop dance and humor to bring history to modern life.
