Named after feminist theater actor-producer Julia Miles, this 199-seat space is a rental house when not being occupied by the Women's Project. Although the ceiling is high and the single-level orchestra seating is roomy, the Miles feels a bit like a barn, with a raised stage and too gradual a rake for the audience. This slight lack of intimacy can be overlooked at more engaging productions.
