Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn’s Greek-inspired college-basketball musical has little but bounce to recommend it. The plot is contrived, the stakes are low, and the characters are cliché. Kudos to the cast and director of this high-concept, low-target goof (especially the women): They show a lot of hustle out there, but you can’t slam-dunk a tennis ball.—Adam Feldman
