Midsummer: A Shakespearience

Variety Life Productions, overseen by Kaitana Magno and James Sutherland, mounts an immersive nightclub adaptation of Shakespeare's forest frolic A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which a bossy Bottom gets mixed up in a world of love drugs and fairy sex. This version mixes snatches of Shakespeare's verse with a floor show that includes live music, tap dancing, magic and an assortment of other variety acts. (Fanciful dress is encouraged, and T-shirts, sneakers and jeans are verboten.)
