This crucial, gorgeous space on Wooster Street recently announced that its last day would be August 31, so you’ll have to pop by before then. Robert Lyons founded the space 29 years ago, and since then, it has hosted the indispensible summer Ice Factory festivals and countless rental productions that needed high ceilings and a warm wooden environment, rather than some soulless black box. Sadly, the days when prime real estate in Soho could house a theater seem to be passing, and we’ll have to hope that Lyons finds another den soon.
