Open 'Tho Shut

Enjoy an afternoon of "walk-by theater" on East Tenth Street. Theater for the New City is presenting its holiday installment of free, live walk-by performances in which acts are staged live in the theater's elaborate set shop for audiences of socially distanced passers-by, who watch through an open garage door. This time, the passing audience will be greeted by  Mistress of Ceremonies, Crystal Field, enjoy drumming and dancing by Cobu (an all-female Japanese Taiko drumming and dance troupe), watch a performance by Rome Neal, the artistic director of Nuyorican Poets Cafe and another by Bina Sharif, a Pakistani American playwright, actress, director, performer and visual artist.
