Anna Ziegler’s well-intentioned but stolid biodrama depicts the scientific contributions and sexist dismissal of Rosalind Franklin (Kristen Bush), who took the key X-ray image of DNA’s helical structure. The particulars of the story are enough to gnash your teeth over, but Ziegler’s treatment ultimately blurs the central intellectual struggle behind superimposed romantic angst.—Helen Shaw
