Time Out says

Rob Ashford's Mad Men–inflected revival of the 1968 Burt Bacharach–Hal David–Neil Simon musical comedy starts off with groovy bounce, but it's a slow slide into hollowness from there. As an office drone with an apartment ideal for senior-management trysts, Sean Hayes excels at his zany asides to the audience but seems nervous when he sings; the miscast Kristin Chenoweth, trying to work against her micro-Valkyrie persona, is too strong and mature for her naive character. (SNL veteran Molly Shannon has recently taken over the scene-stealing role of boozy floozy Marge MacDougall.) Read the full review.—Adam Feldman
