One heralded as the Showplace of the World, this famed Rockefeller Center venue has razzle-dazzled patrons since the 1930s with its elaborate Art Deco details, massive stage and theatrics. Though best known as the home of the Christmas Spectacular, which stars the high-kicking Rockettes and a full cast of nativity animals, many musicians consider Radio City a dream stage to perform on, including a recent extended stay from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett. Explore the 6,000-seat theater, meet a real life Rockette and learn about the iconic destination’s history dating back to John D. Rockefeller's hopes for space, its short time as a movie house, and some little-known secrets of the stage during the daily backstage tours ($26.95, children $19.95). For those interested in learning more about the design and architecture, including the high ceilings and painted walls of the grand foyer, aluminum nude statues and the –count ‘em–eight different lounges, opt for the 80-minute Art Deco tour. Whether you’re there for a tour or a show though, do yourself a favor and take moment to appreciate the orange glow emanating outward from the hallowed grand stage.

This review is about the Radio City Tour, which I highly recommend. It was a great behind the scenes tour of the history of the Rockettes and the actual building that is radio city and how it got its name, and when a show is in session they let you watch a little bit of it from an observation room up top which is an amazing experience!
If you get the chance to see a show here, do it! A true New York
landmark, and the inside is gorgeous. Giant chandeliers and a beautiful
theater. I saw the Rockettes here this year and it was super fun!
Great Sound Great Layout, Just recently saw JOHN FOGERTY there 1st Row . Excellent Show and Sound!! EVEN Scored a pair of Show Used Drum Sticks, Had a GREAT TIME!!
I’ve visited Radio City a couple of times. It’s iconic and a staple in New York City. I went there to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular during the holidays, and Janet Jackson’s private show before she launched her Up Close and Personal tour. The venue is a decent size. I prefer it over Madison Square Garden which is huge. There are no bad seats in Radio City as the seating is on an incline. No matter where you sit you will have a good view, so that’s a plus if you don’t have the money to sit right up front. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I always have a good experience when I go.
Huge venue - too huge - very crowded little noise or crowd control - major tourist trap - dont love this venue.
