Voices Inside, which encourages creativity in prison communities to promote empathy and fight recidivism, partners with Nylon Fusion Theatre Company and PEN America to mount a collection of one-act plays by six award-winning writers: Aaron Clancy, Justin Futrell, Elizabeth Hawes, Matthew Mendoza, William Smitherman and Derek R. Trumbo Sr., all of whom are currently or have recently been incarcerated. Each piece has a different director, and more than a dozen actors are in the cast.
