Silence! The Musical

Campy, raunchy and mounted on the cheap, this tuneful parody (by Hunter Bell and Jon and Al Kaplan) of The Silence of the Lambs is ideal summer fare: sweet, tangy and very tasty. It helps to see the film first, but there’s enough comedic talent here—led by Jenn Harris, who perfectly nails Jodie Foster's clenched, twangy-lisping star turn—to let you enjoy the show on its own daffy merits.—David Cote
