The collaborative theater collective Radical Evolution, founded by Meropi Peponides and Beto O’Byrne, joins with Working Theater and the New Ohio to track the history of the American train system via 21 historical folk songs. Fictional letters provide context and call attention to marginalized communities (immigrants, Native Americans, Black laborers) that got railroaded along the way. Rebecca Martínez and Taylor Reynolds direct the production, which features arrangements by music director Julián Mesri.
