Spirit Control

Jeremy Sisto gives an excellent, measured performance as an air-traffic controller who walks off the job, but finds himself haunted by a particularly harrowing incident. That episode is depicted in the astonishing and suspenseful first scene of Beau Willimon's lopsided drama, and the play never regains such high altitudes of drama afterward.—Helen Shaw
