The Starr supports the artist in an incredible way that goes beyond just providing space and money. They have created an artistic home for creativity and that is amazingly awesome!
NYC theater at it's finest, most creative, most cutting edge. If you're wondering what happened to New York, go here and you'll see what's up.
Well...As an "up and coming Theatre artist" this place is indispensable to the growth and nurturing of artists. They also know how to throw a party. Also the walk up isn't that steep. Also...the best theatre programing in the city. That's all.
I've seen almost every play the Bushwick Starr has put on since I moved into the neighborhood eight years ago and they've all been outstanding, original and perspective-changing. This theater is truly a gem.
