David Bertolino’s account of the making and aftermath of the notorious 1972 porno flick does suck deeply; it comes up short in shallow, commonplace ways. The mostly lively cast is ill served by a shabby, amateurish production and pushy, tonally insecure direction. The show has moments of enjoyable campiness and occasional jolts of nudity. But with tickets for this cheapo sexploitation priced at up to $110 a pop, the whole thing is pretty hard to swallow.—Adam Feldman
